My interest is Metro Line 3 that was to have used CN’s Mount Royal Tunnel.

Would the tunnel line have been converted to a rubber tired system like the rest of the Metro or would it have been an isolated line with equipment very similar to that used through the tunnel today but on a much greater frequency? .......I don’t believe a rubber tired system can operate in the open in our climate so would there have been an interchange station between the new Metro line and the remaining CN electric system to Deux Montagnes?

On the downtown end, would the new line have been rerouted away from Gare Centrale and into Bonaventure or Square-Victoria Metro Stations to permit full integration into the rest of the system?
