‘Modern, efficient and sustainable’ trains arrive in Costa Rica

The Costa Rican Institute of Railways (INCOFER) announced that on December 3rd, 2018, the Board of Directors of the institution approved the purchase of 8 new trains to the CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. factory, winner of the process.

Costa rica had electric trains to the port city , when I was there in the 1980s. That was apparently removed.
The cross country train was ancient , but tidy, and packed with tourists and locals..
