Does anyone know when the line through Waukesha, along the west side of the Fox river was abandoned? A map from the 1960's shows the tracks in place, but the area has been redeveloped to the point that not much trace is left, so the abandonment must have occured some time ago. Also, does anyone know where the Waukesha MILW station was located?

Last train I saw was into downtown was around 1969. Several more years the line serviced a quarry north of town and RTE/ Cooper power into 1990's. Also from the south the line served Waukesha Engine/Dresser and Grede foundary till Grede closed
Great station building and shops are now a parking lot for Waukesha State Bank just south of West Broadway/Madison street
Burned befor I existed. The line also served a Borden plant south of Wisconsin Ave.
