You can catch the Vermonter crossing the bridge, or if you get really lucky, a NECR crossing the bridge.

At 0740/01-17-2014, the only things in the interchange yard were the two track critters and the tool car. Oh, rust, I almost forgot the rust.

Traffic has grown to the point they are hauling it up to Brat like they used to. Can't fit much in the "yard" there esp with the crossing. I imagine it will remain for the odd car and as a detour option.

EDBF? Pre blocking in ED or would BF local handle interchange moves?

For conditions on 0800/03-28-2014, please reference post of 0740/01-17-2014.

If and when PAS re-builds Gardner yard to permit direct interchange with P&W, wouldn't the NECR-PAS connection track at Millers Falls be used for run-through trains such as ethanol unit trains from CP/VRS?

It's my understanding they would come in the West End, not from the north. If they did come from the North, I think NECR would be out of the equation entirely. Off the VRS at Fellows Balls and down the Conn River and crossover to the Freight Main at Greenfield.

For 1140/05-07-2014, things were the same as with the 03-28 and 01-17 reports with 1 big exception: There was a welder-equipped pick-up east of the easterly track with a portable derail in place.

0750/05-23-2014, the track critters, tool car, and derail were still there, but they had been joined by a G&W tamper between the derail and the Millers River UGB.

The 0720/06-13-2014 drive-by showed things almost the same as the 0750/05-23-2014 viewing except for the tamper heading out across the Millers River UGB before and after conversations with the G&W dispatcher. The derail was still in place as were the track critters and tool car. Dunno when the last train went through, but there was a respectable application of yellow atop the G&W main.

Ditto, 07-02-2014, except for the main, which was well polished.

The ~1115/10-13-2014 drive-by showed major changes since the last visit. There is only 1 track in place south of the grade crossing, although the rails for the others haven't been lifted from the crossing. The tool car that had been south of the crossing is gone, and the orange track critter is now north of the crossing. Where the station was were unattended equipment, an A&K Cat, a JV Pro Bobcat, and a new or newly-painted wheeled claw.
