Yesterday i saw #6175 on the RI at Vermont Street

Did you guys know that 8507 has been on the RI?

Cabcar 8503 has returned to the MILW from the UP.

Amerail Cab Cars 8418 and 8414, which had been on the Milwaukee District for a couple of years, returned to the UP lines.

Due to the ongoing overhaul of the 7400/8400 series cars, 8409, 8429, 8432, 8438, and 8445 (all rebuilt) are now a part of the BNSF/SWS pool. Additionally, Car 8476 (which ran on the BNSF/SWS until its overhaul) now runs on the UP.

Cabcar 8477 moved from BNSF/SWS to UP.

Does anyone know if cabcar 8465 has been rebuilt yet? If not, has anyone seen it recently...and if so, where?

Cab car 8465 hasn't been rebuilt as of December 26 (saw it at OTC). Of the UP's cab cars, the ones I know for sure haven't been overhauled yet include 8430, 8451, 8461, 8463, 8465, and 8472. Its seems that most of the 8400s have been rebuilt now. I'll miss their K5la horns!

One of the cars that Metra bought back from Virginia Railway Express last year is now in service on the UP lines. It was the front car (behind the engine) of train 643 (to McHenry). I believe the car number is 8718 (a former cab car).

Looks like they're assigning PS cars to the MILW/NSC trains again. I saw one this morning, I think it was 7818.

There is also a "6 window" (SLC?) bilevel sitting outside the shop at California Ave. Too far away to see the number.

That 6-window coach is 7658 - one of a group of 6 cars that arrived back from VRE sometime last year. As far as I know, it's the only 6-window coach we've gotten back. This is the 3rd group back from VRE - the original 5 coaches back in '08, a batch of 5 cab cars that kind of snuck in under the radar sometime later, and this latest batch of 5 coaches and a cab. Overall, that makes 16 back from VRE (most in service), 14 back from Utah (all in service), 11 back from MARC last June (not yet in service, at least as far as I know) and one random cab car (8701) returned from a dealer, also in service (I don't know specifics - reported on ChiTransit.org).

8580, usually on the MILW and NCS lines was on a RI Train yesterday

In addition, #7285 and #7113 also made their way to the RI

8569 is on the MILW.
