Major train derailment in Ont.
ORILLIA, ONT. - Homes near Severn Falls, Ont., were evacuated early Wednesday morning after a massive train derailment.

Mike Lovecchio, a spokesperson for CP Rail, said 21 cars from an eastbound train spilled from the tracks at about 3:20 a.m. Some of the derailed cars struck a westbound train stopped on an adjacent track.

Orillia OPP Const. Gerry Dwyer says no one was injured. Though nothing spilled from the cars, one was a propane tanker car that tipped on its side, prompting the evacuation of an area of about 80 metres around the scene.
