Is there any set operations on the Rockland line? I'm staying overnight in Waldoboro Thursday 9/9. What freqs do they use?

They tend to be "as needed"! Usually, the engine based in East Brunswick(the BIW Hardings Plant on OLD Bath Rd).,will run the 5 miles into the Brunswick Yard(off Stanwood St.) to drop any cars & lift any for/from the Guilford connection around 8-9AM,usually 3 days a week. They usually work as far east as the Maine Yankee Spur. The train based in Rockland will often run west to meet the other crew somewhere long the line & exchange cars. Then, they will return to Rockland, stopping to pick up loaded cements at Dragon plant in Thomaston & run down the Rockland Wharf Branch to switch out the empties & set the loads for transfer to the barge. Your best bet, since your in Waldoboro,iI :-) think,is to concentrate on the eastern end in Thomaston & Rockland. Hope this helps. Bud

:P Forgot to mention that the Radio Frequency is 160.295. You won't be able to catch the weekend passenger train in operation.but the consist should be at the Rockland yard, along with 2 ex-SLR M-420's,nee CN,that will be "made"into 1 operating M-420. M&E Alco C-424,#4228,is also usually there, unless its working, hopefully the wharf branch so you can get a "smoke show"!! Have fun, sadly its suppossed to be a rainy Thursday. Bud
