according to trainorders, M&E Alco C424 # 4223 is ready for
shipment to the WNY&P now from Morristown, NJ.

the same thread indicates an ex CN M420W is coming as well.

In addition to this, it has been said the M&E 4228 i suspposed to join the WNYP as well. The 4223 and 4228 are said to be on lease. The M420 is news to me but I'll consider it a rumor until the locomotive is restenciled.

This begs the question, where is the 4264 now?

I'll confirm tomorrow but the last I saw 4264 some time last week it was still at Morristown on the M&E in the Ridgedale Ave run-around with 4231 and 22 and some assorted stuff. I saw 4231 today on the east end but the traffic was such that I couldn't get a good look at the rest. Will take a ride at lunch tomorrow.

The M420 is NOT going to the WNY&P. At least Bill Burt is not expecting it. I had a lengthy discussion with him on Monday morning regarding the planned motive power for the WNY&P and the 3562 is not part of his plans. Besides the M&E has other plans for it, namely going to Maine to replace 4228 which is slated for the WNY&P. 3562 needs a lot of TLC before it goes anywhere.

Confirmed today the 4264 is still on the run-around in Morristown. 4223 is sitting in front of the M&E shop sans lettering.

Sitting with 4264 are 4231 (C-424) what's left of the Cape Breton & Nova Scotia unit (waiting for scrap I assume) and shrink-wrapped #22 (GP-9)

From the M&E deisel doings thread....4223 was restenciled RRPX (Rail Power Leasing) on June 27th. 4264 has been parked and is probably waiting to travel with 4223 to the LAL family, whichever location they go to.
