Yes - NJT #4800-4803.

Any clue as to when the train will make it back to Hoboken? I certainly won't hold anyone to it, knowing how things change quickly on the railroad. Just trying to plan things out a little bit.

I'm also curious how the platforming situation will work at Hoboken and particularly Newark Broad, which has a platform that isn't too large.

We're looking at roughly a 6:00 PM return to Hoboken. As far as boarding, passengers will have to walk through the train to get to their cars. In Hoboken, the cars that are towards the front of the train (and therefore off the platform) will be boarded first.

M&E cars Pine, Magnolia, and Alexander Hamilton are currently enroute from Maine to Morristown so they can begin to be prepped for the train.

All three have arrived in Morristown.

The Morristown & Erie's Lehigh Limited (http://www.anniversary.merail.com) is only a week and a half away! There are a very limited number of tickets remaining in the Magnolia (4) and the New York Central #38 (5). There are also a limited number of standard coach seats still available. These will not last for the rest of this week - grab them while you can! Due to the late date, all tickets sold from this point forward will be held for pickup on the date of the trip.

The on-board gift shop is going to be set up in the Birken, and will feature a limited number of Morristown & Erie souvenir items including t-shirts, mugs, magnets, and mouse pads. A brand new book, Morristown & Erie, Vol. #1 – The Early Years: 1895-1952 (http://www.garbelypublishing.com/public ... -1895-1952), is scheduled for release on August 24th and will be available for the first time on board the train. Additionally, a limited number of the out-of-print book The Morristown & Erie by Bob Pennisi will also be available. Other railroad books, both in and out-of-print, will be available. Railroad mugs, decorative signs, postcards, timetables, and train-related toys will complete the list of items for sale.

The commissary, also located in the Birken, will feature breakfast items, snacks, and beverages for sale throughout the trip.

Please remember that both the commissary and gift shop are not equipped to handle credit or debit cards and will be CASH ONLY.

Lunch for the trip will be catered by That's Amore, an Italian restaurant in Bethlehem, PA (http://www.thatsamorebethlehem.com/).

Well I finally had enough free time to edit the shots I got at Clark NJ. The train looked real good. I'm glad it was successful. It was a nice sunny day but next time Rudy, you need to run westbound in the morning and eastbound in the afternoon. You had everybody shooting into the sun all day!

Have there been any talks about running another excursion this year, and which routes and destinations are going to be considered. If they happen to run to the Lehigh Area again, I was thinking that it might be nice to run on the Mtc-Btn one way and then the Morris and Essex Line the other.

What might also be nice is running a railfan excursion on all of Conrail's Shared Assets Lines in North Jersey with multiple photo stops especially Oak Island Yard.

Considering the success of last year's, I certainly hope so. Such a nice "trainset" too, looked great on the mainline. Really exciting.

I'll keep you guys posted.... any discussions that may or may not be occurring are in their infancy at this point.

I really wish they would run a repeat of this excursion especially for those who missed it the first time. Or, if NS can get the NKP 765 back east again and run on the Lehigh Line from Bound Brook, NJ through Allentown, PA to Reading or Harrisburg, PA. That would really sell out if it happened. There were similar excursions with 765 in NJ/PA in late July, 1988. My suggestion for the future would be to use both M&E Alcos rather than an NS unit on the one end. What kind of horn does #18 and #19 have? Sounds like a Nathan K5LA not sure.
