This station has been saved and was moved to a new location . It is about a mile from it's original location, but has been restored. This station was on the POTTSVILLE Branch, and is the sole remaining structure from this
branch.
I stopped there today on my way home from work and talked to the contract painter.
It is being painted in LV dark gray and lite gray(correct), and has had lots of structure replaced, but done correctly and from the proper kind of wood. They would like donations to help. This building is located at the intersections of PA309 and PA895 in Snyders ,Pa.
Sovereign Bank(Snyders,Pa. branch) is taking the donations.
This project is going to become a tourist info center for the Tamaqua area. With some displays,etc...
