quick question did any Lehigh Valley C420's ever make it into the Conrail or D&H Fleets in the Yellow Jacket scheme or were they all in a Cornel Red color by then?

None of the LV C420's went to Conrail..
they went straight to the D&H on 4-1-76.

Only two were still in yellowjacket paint when they went to the D&H, 412 and 413, the rest were in various shades of Red and Tuscan.

412 and 413 were both later repainted by the D&H.

409 operated her entire D&H career in LV red, and went to her grave still wearing her red paint. (scrapped early 1990's)

414 also wore red into the 1980's..not sure of the exact year she was repainted into her current yellowjacket colors.

Scot:

Reference LVRR C420 414, my notes state: "Restored in full LV yellowjacket paint and stored at Bridgeton, NJ as of 02/92".

Does not nail down the actual year of the repaint, but comes close, at least.
