If you look at the 1893 USGS map at

you will see what looks like the CNJ Drifton Branch running past Eckley down the north side of the valley to a junction with the LV east of Jeddo, and also a from the head of Eckley valley, running down the south side to a junction with the same LV line just at the north portal of Hazle Brook tunnel with what looks like a small spur at the junction.
Was this latter line later re-laid as the LV's Eckley branch? Or did the LV build on a new alignment? The drawing of the railroads on the USGS 1893 maps seems sloppy -compare the modern USGS for the same area.
