Hello!

I'm looking for a LV all time steam roster which contains technical data like boiler pressure, driver diameter, weight and cylinders size.

Is such a roster available in the internet, has somebody one or can somebody recommend a book which includes one?

Thanks
Thomas

No one has ever compiled an all-time LV steam roster..
I have considered trying it!
but for most railroads that began in the 1850's, its really not possible..
the data simply doesnt exist for the really early rosters..
(or if it does exist, no one knows where it is.)

so "all-time" is probably impossible..although we could try it!

There is however pretty good data for the 20th century steam roster..
that is all quite well documented.

Some good data for the later steam roster is here:

http://www.northeast.railfan.net/lv_steam.html
http://www.northeast.railfan.net/lv_steam1.html

(Although those dont list the details you were looking for)

and in some books..
I will see what I can dig up over the next few days..

Thats right. I'm most interested in the locos which get a LV classification like B-1, E-13, K-5 or O-3 ...

As I was 16 years old, I planned to collect enough data to have a complete 1870-up-to-today - roster of all engines (steam, electric, dieel and MUs) for all important Railways of this earth.
Now I am near 33 years old and I have collected datas from about 19,500 different classes of locos and MUs worldwide - but only in the case of Denmark, Germany and Austria I can say "Work is done!". :-D :-D

Combined with http://orion.math.iastate.edu/jdhsmith/term/sluslv.htm it works for a few classes...

The book "The Railway and Locomotive
Historical Society Bulletin #126" was recommended to met, but I've spent $ 80.00 last week on books to get a complete roster of L&N steam locomotives so I've to wait a little bit...
