I'm looking on info about the AC&F multi compartment 'tank' cars built to haul chlorine in the late 1940's and early 1950's. I say 'tank' car because they look like flat cars with round tanks bolted across them instead of actually looking like a conventional tank car. SHPX (220-229 and 400-414 lettered for private owners) and GATX both owned some. I'm trying to find any pictures I can find as well as any other information. Thanks for any help...

Have you looked at "American Car and Foundry 1899-1999" or "Tank Cars: American Car & Foundry Company, 1865 to 1955", both by Ed Kaminski? I'd imagine he had to have something on what sounds like a pretty unusual car!
