Somewhere about 1994 there was a calendar - don't know if it was WNYRRHS, ELHS, or what. There was a photo of River Junction tower, with a '66 Chevy truck with a utility body parked by it. I'd like to get a copy of that photo, would pay copying/mailing costs.

Reason is I am beginning restoration of an identical truck which I have owned since 1982 and which has sat in my garage since 1991. This shot does not show great detail on the truck but it's still a neat photo of "back then".

If anyone has a photo of a similar truck which shows nice detail of the lettering on the cab door I'd be interested in seeing it. Actual completion of this project is still far in the future but I'm finally getting started.

Thanks!

Windseeker - thanks - close but not quite. It's been a long time but I seem to recall the shot was from more directly across from the tower, and did not have the train in it. Might even have been by the same photographer the same day., altho if that truck was usually parked there it could have been a different occasion.

The shot was in a calendar in the early 1990's and if memory is correct it was put out by some railroad society or other. Did WNYRRHS have calendars back then? Might have been theirs.

Thanks for the lead though, from what I can see that truck is a dead ringer for mine.
