I just saw a brief video, credited to the BBC, that effective November 28 (on a weekday?) London Overground lines (I think six) have been given names -- I was able to make out Weaver and Windrush -- apparently the names have some local significance. Anybody know about this?

EC90: TFL introduced six line names and colors for the London Overground routes in February 2024:

Liberty Line, Lioness Line, Mildmay Line, Suffragette Line, Weaver Line, Windrush Line
The assigned TFL original roundel color for the London Overground routes is orange...

Good Grief , that's hardly cricket. I imagine there will be alot of social uproar about this , although I hear London is hardly tradtional Britain anymore. even when I was there in the 90's , you met more "outsiders" than Londoners.
When i was there, they were changing the phone numbers to have inner and outer London prefixes , that caused alot of social commentary .

MACTRAXX, thanks for that info. I've seen many of JH's videos but missed those -- he really gets the details down.
