Does anybody know the current whereabouts of ex LIRR geeps( barring NYA) along with the numbers and lease company they belong to now in early 2022?

Looks like if you go through rrpicturearchive and click on each loco, you'll see their new numbers and any recent sightings.

For example, 263 became GMTX 2266

Most seemed to have dynamic brakes installed.

274 became CN 4908 after being part of the gmtx fleet, seen in Canada last month...

I'm not sure if anyone has ever compiled a good list of where they all ended up, but rrpictures would be a good source for creating such a list.

Small update in Railfan & Railroad magazine( April) 2022. It stated that CN Rail is rehabbing and keeping some of the GP38-2's from GMTX. It stated that some of them are indeed ex LIRR, but there was other railroads listed also in the group of 19 or so. It did list all the GMTX numbers. These I believe first went to Locomotive Leasing Partners, stenciled LLPX in 1999/2000.
