I've got this strut in my basement, assisting in the support of my house. I noticed that on this strut, which in itself looks like its belonged to the railroad, there is a designation of letters and numbers. These are: LESW 2441. Can anyone tell me if these are somehow related to the Lima Locomotive works (By the way, I'm in Lima) or anything like that. I thought they might mean something like Lima Engine Shay Works or something, but I could not find any evidence to back my idea. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

There used to be a steel mill called the Lake Erie Steel Works.I ran the name thru Google but didn't find much about it though.Sounds like your house is well built. Joe
