Well after a long night here they are..
Part 1: Kingston to Bridgeport.
We left Kingston at 2am last Wednesday. We all took turns piloting down the Hudson. I decided to go to bed after I realized I could not even see the Poughkeepsie
RR bridge when we were right under it. I awoke 2 hours later to a CSX trailer train out the window. We headed down the river to Bayonne NJ to the IMTT tug fuel terminal. We were getting lube oil but due to technical difficulties we didn't. While we waiting at IMTT a Reinauer empty fuel barge came in just a few feet from us. We ended up seeing this barge a few days later in Bridgeport. On the way in a NYNJR Carfloat happened to cross our path as well. We got to the yard and tied up to the pier about 10 or 11. Off to bed to the sound of a humming Detroit 3-71.

Part 2: The Haul Out
Thursday morning they pulled us out with there Travelift. Its a 600
MT capacity and they want to upgrade it to 800MT. We moved the boat into the pit and they tied us up with these little lines. We hear a ping and sure enough a line parted. Out I go to sling there new line over the cleat. They dropped the slings in and a diver checked their position. They lifted the boat a few feet and walked it foward so we could hop off the bow. All went well and we were High & Dry in no time (about 3 hours).

Part 3: Some bumps and bruises on the Cornell.
Later that day and into the next they power washed the hull. Matt found a hole inside a few weeks ago and patched it with hydraulic cement. It was all caused by water leaking down and rotting from the inside. Another was found which turned out to be a faulty weld. All in all not bad for 59 years and last been hauled out 10 years ago. Everyone at the yard was amazed in its condition. I then cut off all the old zincs that are getting replaced and Matt got the last few on the Rudder and above the prop.

Part 4: Sandblasting begins
On Saturday they did a test section with a new method for the yard, mixing water and sand (glass bead actually). Turns out it worked, and worked well thus no need for setting up containment. On Monday they dropped off another hopper and on Tuesday they had 2 guys do the blasting continuing into Wednesday morning.

Part 5: Final Work
Wednesday afternoon they delivered the paint, 95 gallons in total. 2 coats of epoxy and 2 coats of anti-fouling. They mixed it up and started to roll it on the seams and bilge keels. They also started the patch work. Unfortunately that night I had to head home.
