lancaster-san rafael ca rail trail being removed for smart!

yep the famous rail trail in san rafeal with that famous railroad bridge is being removed

also i have heard that the tracks in ukiah ,ca have been removed and turn into a rail-trail

streetview doesn't show this as the case and i don't think it is but can anyone tell me if that is true.
