Lack of ditch lights

It is interesting how HATX does not have ditch lights on this GP40 while NREX has added ditch lights where they would not normaly seen.

without the ditchlight unit can only be used as trailing unit or it has to take every publc crossing at 20 mph or lower.

alot of these units arent lead capable anyway because they dont have radios, so what is the point of adding ditch lights?

I agree with Nip that many rent-a-wrecks are not worthy of being in lead due to lack of equipment, including horn levers, head-end boxes, even engineer seats, etc. Also in many areas crews do not have to use rent-a-wrecks if a wide-body is in the consist.

Btw Nip, Radios can be swapped-out last time I checked, not that we wanna be bothered doing it, LOL.
