HENRY — Iowa Interstate Railroad is once again bringing its 1950 vintage passenger cars, plus diesel locomotives to Henry.

On Saturday, Sept. 10, it will be making three round trips from Henry to Chillicothe. Trips will depart at 9 a.m., 11:50 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. from the track in front of the Henry Fire Department, 220 Railroad Ave. A 45-minute layover in Chillicothe will allow time to stretch legs and check out local vendors before returning passengers back to Henry. There will be food, music and entertainment in front of the Henry Fire Department. Proceeds support local organizations and the Henry Fire Department.

Round trip tickets cost $14 for adults and $7 for children ages 5 to 12. Tickets may be purchased in Henry at the following locations: Heartland Bank, Henry State Bank, Read Bros. True Value and Wilson’s Insurance Agency. In Lacon, tickets may be purchased from Morton Community Bank and First National Bank. In Hennepin, they are for sale at North Central Bank.
