Has anyone thought that we could tack on some passenger cars to the back of this train and have a combined VIA and Intermodal transcon train?

Probably not, given the utter foolishness of such an idea. Why force passengers to needlessly sit in a yard or siding for hours on end? A complete non-starter for sure for anyone with an ounce of common sense. CP isn't going to haul passenger cars on a priority intermodal....
