A bit OT but FWIW it looks like Spliethoff is mounting a small amount of competition for RRs handling steam ship containers through east coast ports. A YouTube video was posted recently of Spliethoff's small dedicated container ship Peyton Lynn C (461ft long - 869 TEU (twenty foot equivalent units)) arriving at the Port of Duluth, MN on November 29, 2024. Apparently this was the first time a dedicated container ship called on the port of Duluth-Superior and it was partially loaded with containers shipped directly from the major European port of Antwerp, Belgium. Spliethoff has been trying to develop the "first and only liner service between Europe and the Great lakes" since May of 2023 serving primarily Cleveland but also advertising its reach to Chicago and Duluth, among other Great Likes ports . But I get the impression that not many scheduled monthly trips have been made to Duluth so far but Cleveland may see regular service.

120 didn't make it out of Canada, and is parked at Gould for the night, Customs apparently doesn't do late night trains.

It looks like the 2 cranes are on the docks. They rescheduled a bunch of intermodal ships when the cranes were expected, so there are now 10 ships scheduled from the 9th to the 15th.

That's absurd; if the ICEmen, ours or theirs, can't stay up, then just let the train pass. Call it "Schengen Select :-D ". Check at Saint John prior to departure that all Containers and manifest freight is sealed and that autos are properly locked. The train crew surely has those credit card sized "passports" issued to frequent border X-ers.

Same of course for Chessie at Vanceboro, or wherever the frontier is.

That would be Eastern Maine Railway territory, since CSXT doesn't operate east of Mattawamkeag.
