They've pointed the camera at McAdam a little more left. You can see more of the station now.

The next 2 calls on the CES will omit Norfolk and fully discharge at Saint John. This is strike related.

Is there any indication how they will be moved on?

Are you referring to CP vs CN? Presumably CP but could go anyway. I don't think you'll see anything CSX but then again who knows.

For reference, the CES calls Saint John and Norfolk in North America on its TAWB trip from Europe, so they are omitting the Norfolk call.

I think the plan is to slow sail. The Puerto Limon Express was supposed to be in Saint John on Saturday. They are only on their way to Antwerp now. They are at least a week behind schedule if they drag their heels. It looks like they are hoping this will all be over with by the time they get to Saint John. They may be right.

They went out!!!; who knows for how long.

It will be interesting to see how much of a "flood" of callings both Saint John and Halifax will get. Can either, especially Saint John - as that is the Port whose activity we cover here, handle such?

Longshoremen are covered by the Taft Hartley Act. Under such, Joe could order them back to work (of interest; the Railway Labor Act does not grant the President such power) for eighty days.

But Joe is pro-union, and has been so through his entire political career. I believe he will be reluctant to use that power during his 111 remaining days in office. The Act also provides for mediation to assist the parties in reaching a collectively bargained agreement.

But with an average annual wage of some $200K a year, some Longshoremen "just might enjoy a vacation" without too many financial concerns.
