Suzano makes a completely different product than what you see up here. Tree species here vs Brazil are leagues apart. They focus on Eucalyptus blends, which mills in North America have to import. For anyone interested, Suzano is massive and recently made a (failed) offer to buy International Paper for a cool $15B.

The actual delivery occurred a couple of months ago now. They pulled right up to the container terminal and used some attachments on the big cranes to unload the break bulk cargo.

I would think DP World is probably going to develop a special container for the 2-3M metric tonnes of potash that go through the port annually. They are likely looking at a similar device for this. Once you get the customer using your gear, it's a lot harder for them to pick up and move to the port down the coast.

For sure it sounds like having DP World at the helm is going to push the volume considerably. I suspect this will mostly favor CPKC but could help CN too

ACL is terminating their slot sharing agreement with Hapag starting in October, which currently sees volumes through Halifax, and other east coast ports. Presumably that will increase Hapag volumes via SJ (the latter is a guess on my part) through existing services.

CPKC 121 was through Greenville at 08:21 (EST) I didn't get a count or the power, just the last car as I was logging on.

NBSR 120 departed McAdam at 07:25 (AST) three 6400's, a healthy cut of chips, a couple of autos, a short cut of mixed freight, and a good amount of intermodal.
