The fall 2024 subway schedule (effective 8/25) has increased service, with Red Line weekend service now 18 minutes (9 on the main trunk) from 19-21, weekday Orange Line 6 minutes peak (from 7) and Blue Line now 4 minutes peak (from 5), a frequency not seen since 2007, with weekends 9 minutes all day from 11.
This is the most frequent subway schedule in years. Is the increased schedule due to new cars (on Orange), as well as elimination and reduction of slow zones?
