I'm aware of the Commodore Vanderbilt 1934 - 1939 streamline shroud worn by #5344. On page #24 of the NYCSHS Central Headlight, I'm told that between 1939 and 1945 #5344 had a Henry Dreyfuss streamline shroud in the manner of the ten J3a Hudsons 5445 -5454. I was not aware of that. I did find a picture of it on the internet. So were there ten J3a Dreyfuss Hudsons and just one J1e Dreyfuss Hudson?

Don't forget the two J-3as streamlined for the Empire State Express in 1941 (and later on the Mercury).
They (5426 and 5429) had Dreyfuss styled shrouds with fluted panels to match the ESE's Budd cars.
Otherwise, yes, you are correct about the other 11 streamlined Hudsons.

Notice, though, that there was a difference between the Dreyfuss streamlining on the J-3s and that of J-1 5344. The catwalk on the J-3s was straight, but that of the 5344 had two levels.
