How is it going for the HLCX units so far? Any news?
At least one is in service every day, Monday thru Friday.
Went by there today and only one engine was making yard moves. Lots of tank cars and boxcars there plus the hoppers cars with stone and gravel. The units are quite dusty looking now and need a good wash.
Does any one have any photos or videos of these 2 in action?
They're "quite dusty" because they're working basically in a sand mine which hasn't seen a drop of rain in weeks!
That rain situation has to change soon. We need a sustained rain of 4-5 days to re-hydrate the soil and vegetation. We can't have another brushfire out East that threatens the Brookhaven or Calverton spurs....or the other NYA runs east of KO.
