Can anyone tell me the heritage of NYS&W M-8? I've been looking for information on the RDC's that ran in OnTrack service and can't seem to find anything...

Previously Metro-North, may have been used in Port Jervis service. All 4 of the RDCs were originally New Haven or NYC; given M-5 is ex-NH, M-8 was probably NYC. I'd have to dig out 15 year old Railpaces to get an exact number.

Just for the hell of it Googled it and got Scottychaos's Susquehanna Survivors page showing M8, Budd RDC, OOS, ex-MNCR 65 - PC 65 - nee NYC M465 (blt 1953), Utica right in the summary without even having to click on it.

Ah yes, knew about the Metro-North bit (rode 'em). Your Google powers are stronger than mine, every search I tried for "NYS&W M-8" came up with bobkes. Thank you!

M6 Budd RDC OOS ex-MNCR 11 - AMTK 11 - PC 37 - nee NH 37 (blt 1953) Utica

I think I just typed NYS&W RDC M-8... who knows why it sometimes gives junk results.
