We posted a message to the list earlier this month regarding our
participation in the American Express Members Project. Almost overnight, we
received 60 votes towards our project. Unfortunately, since those 2-3 days,
voting has significantly trailed off, and we now find ourselves 400 votes
behind the 25th-ranked project.

This year our project is called the Pullman Porter Education Project. The idea is to use our Nickel Plate Road sleeping car, the "City of Lima" and an EL baggage car to teach school children about the lives and working conditions of the African American Pullman Porter. The cars will travel from town to town in order to make this piece of living history accessible to many school districts.

We really need everyone on the list's help getting our project into the Top
25. We ask everyone who has not already voted for our project to take 10-15
minutes and go to membersproject.com to sign up for a FREE account, and
nominate our project. While you can only vote once, we also ask that you get
friends and family to sign up and vote for us as well.

Remember, in an important change from last year, you do not have to be an
AMEX cardholder to participate in this opening round of voting.

The direct link to our project is

Again, please take the 10-15 minutes to sign up at membersproject.com and
nominate our project. It will not cost you anything but a few minutes, and
you can help us raise funds for a very important effort.

Thanks,
