A shorty business train is out and about doing grade crossing education - last Thursday it was rolling through Lawrence on the KP line. Here is the local paper's picture. Is the E9B just for HEP today? There's a hood unit at each end, more than enough power. And where the heck are the E9's these days? I always see hood units pulling the b-trains.

Actually, having current power makes some sense to me. That's what 99.44% of everyone is going to see at grade crossing, so it helps those who brought their cameras to see what's going on.

Has the 5500 series coach been made into a theater car? UP did that with several cars in the HW days.

Not quite sure which PV is on the back end, unless that's IDAHO. From the roofline, it looks like one of the HW cars, like SELMA or NORTH PLATTE.
