I took my second trip out to the Harrisburg area from July 1st through July 3rd. My first trip, on April 30th, was rainy, damp & overcast, but fun nontheless. This trip was also a fun one. Here's a recap of what I saw in different areas between the eastern side of the Rockville Bridge and Cove.

Left Cove at this point to check out some things in Harrisburg. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything of note in Harrisburg.

Enola 20- 4:00 WB mixed (into Enola) 5041 & 70xx

Also saw two sets of hump service engines, each having a SW1500 and a high-hood GP38-2. Also saw the EMDX SD70M-2s again switching from one track to another to prepare to leave. Hung in at Iron Bridge overlook until about six o'clock, then broke for dinner.

Not sure of all of the symbols of the trains. I was either provided the train from another railfan or from what I heard on their scanner. So, if a train number is incorrect, please let me know. At that point, things seemed very quiet, so it was time to head home. All in all, it was a very good trip. Lots of Dash-9s, but some other engines to make it interesting. Found some good photo locations and seeing the EMDX units was great.

I was out at Enola on 7/3 into the 4th...stayed down at the Econolodge in Wormleysburg which is next to the Port Road, just South of Enola...I caught the 30T on Sunday with the CN power from the Overview Bridge..also caught the Hightop Hopper train from there, symboled a 406WB...Coke trains are numbered backwards on the Pittsburgh Line...406 is WB and 407 empties EB...I am heading back down to Enola for another Sunday visit tomorrow....Dave Williams http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nsaltoonajohnstown
