*In the voice of Joe Swanson from Family Guy* “No need to thank me, it’s what I do” :P

Once again, here’s the link to the Eventbrite page for the general public to register for tickets. The deadline to register is September 30th. And make sure you’re *absolutely* certain you want a particular time slot as once you register you won’t be able to cancel or change your selection.

I will note, you can cancel. I decided I wanted to take the train from Rhinecliff instead of drive down (I despise the Taconic south of 84), so in order to find a time slot that worked with the Empire Service schedule I canceled the first slot I picked then just ordered new tickets for the new time slot. No stress!

NH2060, the eventbrite page makes it seem like the tickets so far are only for employees. It says you need to provide your employee number.

Must have been an issue with my iPhone preventing me from doing that, thanks!

Yeah the page had been set up that way previously. I don’t know when it was changed, but I happened to check it out earlier today to see if it was offering tickets to the public. And sure enough, voila. I think it was originally listed as a MNRR retirees group being the host. Now it’s listed as being hosted by MNRR itself.

Once you add the tickets to your 'cart' there's check-boxes for employee, family member, public, etc. They don't make it super clear on the page, but it's there.

Anyone else notice the Eventbright page doesn't show the date of the Open House anywhere? My tickets don't even have the date on them, just the time slot I picked.

Good catch I didn’t notice that at all. I sent them a message just to confirm, but the MNRR retirees page where I found the initial Eventbrite link was edited with the following:

I received an email On September 18th that registration is now open to the public and here is the link given.

So the date is indeed the same. It sounds like they didn’t want the event to be “too public” at least for this year.

Looks like they sold out super fast! I saw a post on FB from Emily over at I Ride the Harlem Line, and signed up right away. Only 8 AM was still left a day after opening. Snagged it, knowing I'll need to leave at 6 AM to get there in time.

AW - I will second you...The Eventbrite link is showing SOLD OUT...

The way MNCR has this General Public ticket access set up is that tickets are not transferrable
to another person - and even with a strong demand can NOT be "scalped"...

With an event of this type someone is likely to post video which was basically not readily
available at the last CH Shop Open House 16 years ago...For many video recording will
the next best alternative to being there...MACTRAXX
