New Metro-North train schedules have several changes in store for commuters on the Harlem and New Haven lines.
Inbound service to Manhattan from White Plains now takes place every 30 minutes, instead of hourly, between 7 and 9 p.m.
Two new departures also have been added from North White Plains, at 7:33 and 8:33 p.m., which will make all stops to Mount Vernon, then go Fordham and 125th Street, and arrive in Grand Central at 8:21 and 9:21 p.m., respectively.
The new timetable, which took effect Monday, also restores regular weekend service on the Upper Harlem line, which had been disrupted since April 4. A track improvement project near Goldens Bridge was completed last weekend, doing away for the need to bus some customers on the Wassaic branch.
Half-hourly weekend service on the Upper Harlem also has been restored.
