Only a little more than an hour from DC/Baltimore.
This is tomorrow, June 11th and Sunday June 12th. There's a lot of interesting stuff at the museum tomorrow.
NS is bringing a brand new locomotive not even on the roster! It's a GP38-3 coming straight from Juniata Shops, complete rebuild since its days as a GP50.
We have the following pieces of rolling stock:
- GE 45 Tonner.

and inside:

- Baldwin VO-1000

(I'm currently uploading some outside shots).
- 2 MRS-1's (one will be fired up tomorrow!!! Lots of smoke!!! The other will sadly not be on display but visible)
- 3 ex-B&O Budd Cars. (These are not on display but visible)
- 2 ex-WM Cabooses (One will be painted on site tomorrow, and you can watch!) (#1863 and 1859)
- 1 ex-Reading Caboose
- 1 Operation Lifesaver Caboose
- 1 Ex-Hagerstown and Frederick Trolley (#16
We also have some old B&O rolling stock as well as a troop sleeper, all of which need a lot of work and are not on display but visible.
Visitors can go in almost all of the equipment on display. There will be lots of other things as well- Millitary equipment on display, a book signing by Dwight Jones, author of several caboose books, best of all, Food!!!! We also have a well detailed, decent sized, HO Layout, as well as an O scale layout. Certainly a fun day with plenty to do. NS runs 20 trains a day 1500 ft. away, CSX runs a decent amount right through the event. This is only about 20 minutes from the CSX main as well (40 or 50 trains a day). The weather is looking alright both days as well. Should be a fun event, hope to see some of you there.
