Why does the GP15-1 have radiators like a tunnel motor?

no and no. The GP15 series had the tunnel motor style radiator due to the fact that the GP15 was mechanically based on the MP15AC, which was already using this type of radiator.

well technically it does but about half of that of the sd40t-2, :wink: i have a schemetic of the gp15-1 and the 40t-2 the both use the 48" fan albeit double in the sd40t-2 and triple in the 45 but the cores are identical ,but you are right about why they used this arangement to have the same mechanical arrangement as the mp15
