Your super suggestions will keep me busy (and sane) for months to come, my only regret is I didn't ask six monthes ago when the days were longer, no problem though, I'll be up here through next summer. Interestingly, a lot of you seconded suggestions I got from NJT personnel, especially the Perth Amboy area, Ridgefield Park and Port Jervis lines. What a great forum. Thanks again!

Here are my most favorite places and lines along transit and why.
1. Point Pleasant Beach-so many open views and the line crossing the Manasquan River. I like photographing along bodies of water.
2. Princeton Jct-this is the "Raceway" of the east. Also, this is good for distance railfanning. I am also an Amtrak buff. It is nice to get shots of the dinky leaving the station parking lot.
3. Watchung Ave-Open views of trains coming from the east. Plus this is in my home town, even though I live closer to Upper Montclair station. Nothing like railfanning in your own hometown once and a while.
4. Ridgewood-the views are very good from station property.
My favorite line for coastal views is the NJCL
For the wilderness, the Port Jervis Line.
