There were 3 gons on the PW train FPCH mix in with all the stone hoppers last week on the NEC. Maybe there are taking some sort of different stone or metal rebar that P&W gets shipments of?
Interesting. The Port of New London has been getting import shipments of rebar. I thought the PWRR was only allowed to haul stone in over CSX. Maybe that's changed.
The agreement with P&W is for aggregates only, unless a certain amount of non-aggregate carloads can be reached on the train. Since this is rare to happen at present, that is why you only see aggregates.
Check out my website about railfanning in the Northeast!
Passed by the Astro yard yesterday. The yard which is normally filled with piles of aggregate looked to be very much cleaned out. Was wondering if its just because the construction season is slowing down and they're lowering the inventory or if something else is going on.
