I am lookingfor the date that the GM Train of Tomorrow visited Waco TX, I think sometime in 1948 ?

Feb 2, 1948.
Both the Train of Tomorrow and the Freedom Train were in Waco at the same time.

Train arrived at 3:15 PM. Train left at 4:05PM after escorting the manger of the Freedom Train through the Train of Tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. Very interesting, I had not expected to be on the same day! as the Freedom Train which I am also interested in. Now to the waco newspapers.

Just for the sake of history, the ALCO representative who accompanied the Freedom Train for most of its operations was George Marks, I believe he passed away in the 1980s. I think the EMD reps who accompanied the Train of Tomorrow were written up one time in the company newspaper, if I can find that I will post it later.
