Inbound/outbound loads of wire and wire products halted many years prior to 1989-- possibly in Penn Central days. The siding that leads into the mill complex from across North Main St. has been disconnected for as long as I can remember. I have a hazy recollection of there being a siding on the north end of the property near Factory Pond that might have taken tank car loads of something (either fuel or chemicals) until closer to the end but I can't say for sure.

And yes, in New Haven days I believe G&B was the largest customer on the Danbury Branch north of Norwalk itself.
