Interesting article. Reinforces what you and others have said on various strings (this forum and maybe the Alco one) about GE's focus on the Asian market.
...Interesting also that the journalist's perception is that Immelt has returned to GE's traditions, making the industrial stuff once again GE's "center of gravity," after the Welch years in which it seemed more attention was being payed to the financial, etc.
...And a salutary reminder for those of us whose interest in focused on Railroad stuff: locomotives apparently make up about 1% (or, in a boom year, almost 2%) of GE's sales!*
