Note: Reviving dormant topic

For those of you who may have an interest in the history of Freedomland, I note that Arcadia Publishing has just introduced a new title on the park, starting with its concept, building, operation and demise.

My family & I went there a few times when we lived in Eastchester.
The paddlewheeler from Freedomland was still in that little river
in Portchester to the south of the NEC last time I thought to look.

Actually Monson #3 & Edaville #5 went to Freedomland, and then when Freedomland closed both engines went to Pleasure Island.

Also note that the two engines that went to Freedomland were the same two that served Pleasure Island because it was owned by the same parent company.

Ex Edaville #5 is currently undergoing a rebuild at the WW&F Railway museum and is now WW&F Ry #10.
