I'm told that these units will be paired with slugs — hence the decision to use the 3,300 HP 12-710.

Yes, the 33 stands for 3,000 horsepower, Tier 3 compliant. Similarly, the GP22ECO units are 2,000 horsepower and Tier 2 complaint.
