Hello all,

The Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum is in the process of restoring the Maine Central Railbus #100 (later known and to be restored as #10) Fairmont Type 3100 Model A Railbus to operating condition.

Thanks to a great person in Maine, I have collected a few photos of her outside, all showing front and side views. Also thanks to another person in Maine that is restoring the only other 3100-A, that I know of (B&M #500 @ Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport) about information common to both units.

We are still looking for information and photos of her interior and rear side, or info from other 3100-As.

Thanks for your help,

Looks good! When I was there around 5 years ago there was talk of building a replacement roundhouse. Is that where the photo was taken?

Yep,

She is sitting above Pit 6 of the Rebuilt Columbia Junction Roundhouse. Dedication of the Roundhouse was July of 2000.

Take care,

Rich C.
