Have a 2 part question.
Did an FA ever go to Oyster Bay on the east end of the consist? Have yet to find a photo.
Second, when were the FAs placed on the west end of trains for good.
I’ve narrowed it down to no later than Aug. of 1972

Trainspot, The first answer would be yes, I not able to prove this by photo, but knowing the LIRR it did happen, the second answer is the PC 6's got move to the west end late June-early July, the reason was easy fueling is Richmond Hill, my Dad was in Engine Service and ask him about the west end swath. In 1987 the LIRR put a PC-6 on the east end of a train to Yaphank, it was a 10 to 12 car train, the reason was the train going west in the morning could make better running time.
