F40PH-3C overhaul program

So the units that haven't been rebuilt yet are: 1027, 1030, 1033, 1034, 1036, 1053, 1055, 1059, 1067, 1071 and 1072?

1053 just got accepted to service, so it is definitely rebuilt. The others idk where they are in the process.

1053 is on a 4 car set, 1 K car, 2 brand new R cars, and the new 1828 R CC

Haven’t seen anything come back after 1053. Anyone know the status of the next unit coming home?

The strike at Erie was settled about two weeks ago, so everything is backed there. Just wonder where the MBTA contract stands with the bigger ticket items like that Egyptian 100 unit order.

Yeah this rebuild program is taking way too long! This shouldn’t have been allowed to happen. Rebuilding them should be done in months not years. SMH.

This entire rebuild program is a joke. Some of these F40's are coming back worse than when they left. SMH indeed, its sad

The 1070 was the last to make it back around 4-5 months ago, after the 1053, and since we have had nothing back

Rebuild of 1033 is in "progress", whatever that means to MPI, It has seemingly been out there forever.

There are some MBTA F40s currently in progress at Wabtec

1033 has begun testing in Erie
