1052 & 1062 left Middleboro overnight on CSX B726-28 for Erie.

The first massdot unit to get overhauled out of the 2. Should be interesting to see if the paint stays or it goes back to purple. I have a feeling it’s going to stay blue, but the t logo gets changed like all the others.

This picture of 1052 and 1062 came up on my Instagram feed this morning.

1052 and 1062 are gone now I guess. The next unit coming east is 1065 (no waybill yet) and the next to go west is likely the other blue twin, 1056, as the two other units listed on NETransit as awaiting repair are 1053 and 1070, which are currently in work service. As for the '52 and '62, I would venture to guess that 1052 will definitely not be the Greenbush Unit when it returns, and 1062 may possibly be blue, but I'm not completely sure. I mean the unit is technically owned by MassDOT, so it would make sense to keep the blue paint, but somebody pointed out to me that there were "MBTX" reporting marks spraypainted on the side, so that could mean that the paint doesn't matter, and it will be repainted. Of course, it could get a fresh coat of blue, but it could just as likely be purple. It's still up in the air at this point.

That’s what I was saying up in the previous posts. 1052 can say goodbye to being the greenbush unit and the blues who knows at this point until it’s complete. I thought 1060 was coming back after 1065?

If I remember correctly, 1025 and 1026 had nasty body corrosion. I would think that they sent them to curry rail for carbody work. Not sure what the order is after 1065 and maybe 1060. I lost track of what order they were sent, but I don’t think that matters since they will finish them whenever they do. I’ll also be happier once these are all done and more are in service. I just like seeing them in general, not because of its horn.

Here are MBTA 1052 and 1062 heading west on CSX at Fairport at 2158 02/03/21 and then again passing North East PA at 0233 this morning . For some reason, looks like these 2 units were spun at Selkirk, perhaps? Would this train be Q363?

Well Q635 must've skipped Ashtabula since both units are in Willard, Ohio last I knew.

The MBTA units went all the way to Columbus on Q635 but were returned east on Q634. Units were sighted at Unionville OH just west of Ashtabula on Saturday afternoon and were set out at Erie a bit later that day.

Has anyone yet caught 1057 or 1074 yet in service? It’s been a while since they were listed as in testing.

According to an insider YouTube post, 1053 and 1056 are prepped for go next. If that changes, a post will confirm otherwise. I’m not sure exactly when 010 and 011 will go as I had previously mentioned that they were added to the contract. I would say half of the F40 fleet is in the process of getting rebuilt which is why no one has seen many in service on both north and south sides.
