The PATH train service resumed Tuesday afternoon after 200 passengers were evacuated from a train that got stuck inside a tunnel outside the World Trade Center, according to the Port Authority. The passengers were evacuated after the Manhattan-bound train experienced mechanical problems and crews realized there was a smoke condition, a Port Authority spokeswoman said. Crews helped move passengers to the front of the train to an emergency exit. The train, which originated in Hoboken, was moved off the tracks and is now being inspected. The Newark-World Trade Center PATH line was running with delays, but returned to normal service after the train was removed.
