I am now in the process of publishing a book on the Erie Lackawanna, called Erie Lackawanna-Anatomy of The Friendly Service Route. It is an enlarged and revised version of my 1976 ANATOMY OF THE ERIE LACKAWANNA, which came out in August, 1976, after Conrail had been in operation 4 months.Unlike my original work, it takes you on a division by division tour of the railroad. In the navigation bar: Commuter Country refers to the New York Division, Route of the Erie Limited, the Susquehanna Division, Niagara Frontier Operations; the Buffalo Division,Bread Basket of the Erie; the Mahoning Division,Road of Anthracite (or something like that),the Scranton Division, and The Erie's Speedway, the Marion Division. It can be found at the following URL: http://trainmanjim.tripod.com/. Please feel free to take a peek and keep in mind that it is a work in progress. There is also a photo album called Erie Lackawanna Railroad in Pictures. Access to it, I am not sure about that but it IS supposed to be a public album. I plan to have hardcopies available on request if desired and will try to keep the price under 20.00 a copy. These will be printer produced. Further details to come as they become available.

Too much crap on your site, I was bombarded with pop up ads despite a pretty good filter.

You've got a lot of misguided or incomplete information, dates, geography, and details, Ranger. Before you write further, read in depth the books on the Erie, the Lackawanna, and the Erie Lackawanna that have already been done...there are probably close to a hundred of them beginning with Mott's pre 1900 History of the Erie. Include, too, the tons of magazine and historical society articles. Your outlines are both ambitious and ambiguous and often covering ground that has already been covered. What new do you have to bring to the table that has not been written or reported before?

For every page I clicked, my pop up blocker blocked 2 pop-ups. Also, it appears to have a big bias toward the Erie. Alot of your headers suggest Erie topics.

One thing I'd like to see discussed is the old road, especially the Phillipsburg branch.
